Family and Community Circle of Merced is offering a language and social imersion program for the children of all ages. Classes are held on Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. The objective of these sessions is to provide children an opportunity to interact with each other in academic settings and foster their language, etiquette and social interaction development skills. The sessions will include lecturers, discussions, presentations and writing practices. The children are grouped into two sections based on their understanding and ability to comprehend the subject matter being presented. Classes are organized and conducted by parent volunteers and students from UC Merced. There will be at least 4 adults available for each day to facilitate these sessions.
Children will be sent home every week with a summary of the class discussion as well as some handouts. Parents will be expected to review the work completed in class with their children and followup as needed. While assisting the children with any take home assignment is encouraged, the parents should help the children learn how to research and complete the assignment independently.

Sunday Classes are held at Tri-College and other classes are held at Melody Lane Ctr.
Tri-College Center located on the Northeast side of Merced College Main Campus. From G street turn left on Community College Dr and then make first left into the parking lot. Go all the way down to the Portables. Look for the portable room TC 4 (Room 4C and 4F).
